The Quadrivium

The Quadrivium develops the skill of numbers in various expressions:

Pencil and protractor.

Arithmetic

Arithmetic teaches the constancy and truth of numbers, reflecting God's unchanging nature. We will encourage hands-on activities like measurement, data collection, and calculations, allowing students to appreciate the precision and reliability of God's creation.

Geometry

Geometry explores numbers in space, demonstrating God's order in the physical world. Through practical activities like building, mapping, and studying shapes in nature, we will experience how geometry manifests in everyday life, reinforcing the belief in creation's inherent order.

Piano and violin

Music

Music expresses numbers in time, showcasing God’s order through rhythm, harmony, and melody. Engaging in activities such as musical composition, playing instruments, and rhythm exercises, students will learn to experience the emotional and spiritual beauty of God's creation, celebrating His goodness through this form of worship.

Cosmos

Cosmos reveals numbers in motion, inviting students to observe God's creation and marvel at the intricacy and vastness of His work. Through activities like observing nature, working in nature, and contemplating the order of creation, students develop a deeper sense of wonder about God's magnificent design.

The Quadrivium helps students see God’s design in all things and grow in wisdom. By integrating these studies into practical activities, students are prepared to honor God’s creation, live with purpose, and contribute to the flourishing of the world as disciples of Christ.
